DA was down last night so instead of another step, you get the final of this piece. I finished the background trees first, making them darker than the grass, but kind of fuzzy and out of focus. Then the rock wall, and a few more grass details.
I had a lot of good suggestions for the color of her clothing, but I decided to go with a brown leather bodice, a golden under-dress, and red over skirt. All the colors can be made with natural dyes, and I thought that they worked for the country shepherdess theme.
I then finished up her crook (the stick) added some more definition to the sheep, and touched up her fur a bit. I'll be making a limited number of prints for this one too, for sale at MFF, (Which just happens to have a Renn Fur theme this year.) and then I send this out to the gentleman who commissioned it.
Now it's on to the next one...

Awwww, she's adorable. Your art, it makes me envious of my own art. Take a gander at it and you'll see why. Do not stop making such great art. Peace out to you.
What a beautiful drawing you have created with your Prismacolors! I am a huge fan of herding dogs, especially Collies. I had a collie previously in my family for about 10 years and she sadly passed away in March. I just love how you managed to capture such a beautiful breed with your talent. I love the warmer color choices and her outfit as well!
it must-a took a long time
p.s(i like tha colors u choose 4 her outfit)
ANYWAY, this was a neat idea, and I like the storybook look this picture has
